Subaru Pacific, Operation Warm, and LAcarGUY: Delivering Love and Warmth for Valentine’s Day!

By March 4, 2026No Comments

This February, Subaru Pacific, Operation Warm, and our friends at LAcarGUY came together to bring warmth and care to our Richstone Families through a donation of 300 new, warm jackets. These coats have a profound impact on those who receive them, with clean, quality, warm clothes making a huge difference in a child’s confidence and safety.

For the past two years, Richstone Family Center has been fortunate to have support from LAcarGUY, Subaru Pacific, and Operation Warm, because they know that together, we can make an impact in our Hawthorne and Greater Los Angeles communities. Operation Warm understands that kids shouldn’t have to worry about being able to afford a jacket to keep them warm. Kids deserve to be prepared for what’s to come, and to do so in style. Without having to think about if they have enough clothing, they can focus on their school work, families, and social lives with confidence. Operation Warm says that it is “more than a coat” – it is emotional warmth and hope that can have bigger impacts than one could imagine.

Our partnership with Subaru Pacific and Operation Warm is stewarded by Meghan Simpson from LAcarGUY. We spoke with Meghan about what makes LAcarGUY’s connection with RFC special and why she continues to support our community.

Why is it important for you to continue to support Operation Warm, Subaru Pacific, and RFC?

“Operation Warm has partnered with Subaru for years and allows us, the dealer, to partner up with our local groups like Richstone, located right down the street from Subaru Pacific. Giving these much needed coats to families that need them most means that our communities are stronger and have the support they need to get through the day.”

Meghan has been a volunteer with RFC since she was in middle school and spent time at Kids Club. She remembers Dorothy Courtney asking for volunteers, participating in Richstone walks, and wrapping holiday gifts for families.

“Giving back was always engrained in my family,” said Meghan. “Our community benefits when people come together and help those that can’t help themselves, whether that be through donating time, money, or resources. I’m a firm believer we are all capable of giving back to the communities we live in.”

Meghan’s commitment to generosity and giving back to those in need is evident in her continued support of Richstone Family Center for so many years. It is incredibly special to have seen her relationship with RFC grow, and we are grateful for her.

Thank you to Meghan, LAcarGUY, Subaru Pacific, and Operation Warm from the RFC families! We continue to address child abuse and work to create safe, healthy communities for our families and children to thrive, and we are able to do so because of caring, generous partners like you.
