April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

Child Abuse Prevention Month - child with blue pinwheel

Go Blue for Richstone

In observance of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, we invite you to Go Blue for Richstone and make a gift to help us addressing this ongoing crisis.

Help End Child Abuse

Children are suffering from a hidden epidemic of child abuse and neglect that affects more than 7.5 million children each year. Every ten seconds a report of child abuse is made and almost five children die every day as a result.

Many of our families have been faced with a loss of income, food insecurity, and housing instability that creates stress on the family that contributes to violence and abuse. Join Richstone Family Center and help us raise awareness and the funds needed to offer the therapy and skill-building programs that our clients desperately need.

We have remained steadfast in helping vulnerable children and families in our community for 50 years, but we can’t do it without you. Support healing, education, and prevention work that changes the lives of children and families impacted by abuse and trauma when you make your gift to Richstone today.

Pinwheels for Prevention

Blue pinwheel

The national Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign launched in April of 2008 as symbols of the happy childhoods and bright futures that all children deserve. At Richstone Family Center, we participate in this campaign as a way of inspiring individual action in our community to end child abuse at all levels.

You can get involved, too! Download our free pinwheel template or join our pinwheel scavenger hunt and find all of the blue pinwheels hidden throughout Richstone’s website. Submit your answer for the number of pinwheels here and you could win a limited edition Richstone tote bag!
