The Richstone Family Center community really came together on May 2nd for an unforgettable evening at Sony Pictures Studios.
Guests stepped back in time as the Heart Menders: The Next Generation Gala embraced a classic television theme from start to finish. Costumes were everywhere, from beloved sitcom characters to iconic TV villains, and the energy in the room matched the occasion. Iconic props and vehicles added to the atmosphere, including the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters and the unmistakable RV van from Breaking Bad, both drawing crowds and plenty of photos throughout the night.
The silent auction featured an exceptional lineup of items, from wine collector verticals and private golf experiences to getaways, dining, and one-of-a-kind memorabilia. Guests also had the chance to spin the Wheel of Fortune for a special raffle prize, a crowd favorite that kept the excitement going all evening.

The evening celebrated the next generation of Heart Menders, individuals and organizations whose commitment to Richstone’s mission reflects the very best of our community. We are proud to recognize:
Nikki David, Sarah Wohn, Sean Sullivan, Meghan Sullivan, and Tyler Wolf for their dedication and service to Richstone Family Center and the families we serve. Steve Schwartz, Richstone’s 2nd Vice Chair and Treasurer, for his steadfast financial leadership and long-standing commitment to the organization. Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP, whose generous support and partnership continue to make a meaningful difference for children and families in the South Bay.
One of the most electric moments of the night came during the Fund-a-Need, when board member David Peters and R.L. Peters stepped up with a $300,000 matching gift challenge. The room rose to the occasion. Paddles went up across the ballroom as guests rallied together, and the match was met in full. It was one of the most energizing moments in recent Richstone history and a powerful testament to the generosity of this community.

To everyone who attended, bid, donated, volunteered, and cheered, thank you. The $300,000 match being met in that room says everything about who you are and why this work continues. We are already looking forward to next year.
