Women Helping Youth Awards Grant for Richstone’s Project Care
Women Helping Youth (WHY), a philanthropic organization based in Pacific Palisades dedicated to improving the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of children and young adults in need in Greater Los Angeles, awarded the Richstone Family Center a $4,995.25 grant to support Project CARE (Computers and Resources for Education) on May 20, 2008.
Project CARE will provide computers, Internet access and a study area in Richstone’s Transitional Living Program for young women emancipated from foster care. With this grant, residents in Transitional Living for the first time will have convenient access to essential technology to support their efforts to achieve educational and vocational goals. Project CARE will be a key resource as these young women learn to become self-sufficient members of society.
We are deeply grateful for the support of WHY in helping Richstone improves the lives of vulnerable young women in our community.
